 ONLINE STRATEGIC SIMULATIONS
A New Way For Business and Industry To Assess Risk
And Stay Ahead Of The Game

ICONS, the on-line strategic simulation tool developed by the University of Maryland Center for International Development and Conflict Management  (CIDCM) and brought to the private sector by CS&A International Risk, Crisis and Business Continuity Management may be exactly what corporations need to manage risk proactively and prevent crises.

In today’s ever-changing risk environment and stakeholder scene, the enhanced ability of an organization to steer its course is critical to address complex business challenges and define sustainable strategies effectively.

Initially developed for and applied to the academic and public sectors, CS&A is collaborating with CIDCM to deliver simulations to the business environment. ICONS offers professional-level and executive training programs that incorporate multi-player, real-time simulation exercises. Combining CS&A’s hands-on practical risk and crisis management expertise with CIDCM’s academic insight, the ICONS simulation approach is ideally suited to help organizations practice the pre and post crisis phases as well as uncover opportunities to turn potentially negative situations into positive outcomes.

“We are very excited to bring ICONS to the private sector. This puts risk and crisis management and strategic business planning on a whole different level”, said Caroline Sapriel, Managing Director of CS&A.

“With ICONS, corporations can significantly enhance their overall stakeholder management capability, manage issues and risks more proactively and improve scenario planning skills in a very practical and dynamic way”, she added.
